Join one of the fastest growing Accounting Firms in the Pittsburgh market! Here at H2R, we are currently looking for a Human Resources Manager who will be a key member of the H2R administrative team. Specific elements of the role include overseeing all employee issues, benefits administration and recruiting for the firm. This is a full-time position reporting to the partner group.


Employee Performance

  • Coordinate, enhance and oversee the employee review process
  • Create evaluations based on job title
  • Work with Partners to help track and compile performance data in preparation for employee reviews
  • Manage the review process, as well as ensure that raises and incentive goals are communicated
  • Support the tracking of progress toward bonus goals and regularly communicate this progress with employees


  • Use creative strategies to attract professionals and interns in a highly competitive market
  • Cultivate a network of college and university contacts, and attend job fairs, to develop a candidate pipeline and improve name recognition
  • Manage the full life cycle recruitment process, including interviewing, scheduling, preparing offer letters and background checks
  • Oversee orientation and training for all new hires

Benefits Administration

  • Oversee and administer all firm benefits programs, including insurance, PTO and 401K
  • Regularly review benefits offering to ensure they are competitive in the marketplace
  • Look for ways to control costs and to fairly apportion employee costs
  • Consider low- and no-cost benefits that will engage employees and improve the work environment


  • Maintain and monitor policies to create a positive work environment
  • Participate actively with the social committee to ensure initiatives meet the intended goal of employee satisfaction
  • Check in with each employee regularly to gage job satisfaction and bring any issues to partners
  • Oversee the mentor program and create activities that mentors and mentees can engage in

Training and Development

  • Oversee the firm’s Continued Professional Education (CPE) program, providing periodic updates that ensure professionals remain licensed
  • Assist staff in identifying training and development programs
  • Explore opportunities for soft skills development

Additional Responsibilities

  • Manage any human resources issues that arise, doing research and/or contacting our counsel as necessary
  • Maintain all personnel files and oversee policies, updating the Employee Handbook as necessary
  • Oversee time entry to ensure each employee is entering his or her time as required
  • Handle all service awards, employee gifts and other similar programs
  • Work with IT to ensure all departing employees are offboarded

Experience and Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field
  • 8 years of human resources experience, with at least 3 years as a supervisor or manager
  • Previous experience working for a CPA firm or other professional services organization considered a plus
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Outlook, Word and Excel
