BACKGROUND & EXPERIENCE
William H. Westland is a Partner in the firm’s Tax department with over 35 years of experience. He has built his career around establishing solid client relationships and becoming a trusted advisor for businesses and their owners and families. Prior to joining H2R CPA in 2024, Bill served as a Partner and Director of Quality Control for a regional CPA firm in Pittsburgh.
Bill’s clients appreciate his wide-ranging knowledge and regularly seek his practical advice in areas such as: tax compliance and planning (Corporations, S Corporations, Partnerships, LLCs, Individuals, Trusts and Estates); succession planning; mergers and acquisitions; estate planning and administration; small business consultation; high net worth individual family consultation; and consultation on stock-based employee compensation.
Over the years, Bill has advised business clients in a variety of industries, including: real estate; professional services; wholesale and retail sales; and manufacturing & distribution. He has also worked with employee benefit plans, private foundations and nonprofit organizations.

PERSONALLY SPEAKING
Bill and his wife, Misty, live in the Southside neighborhood of Pittsburgh with their two cats, Johnson and Gremmy. They enjoy watching professional football together, especially rooting on their beloved Steelers. In his free time, Bill likes to spend time with family and friends, particularly outdoors.
